Prepare and Use
We make our yeast to be quick and reliable for all your bread making. If baking by hand, simply stir the yeast directly into the dry ingredients before adding any liquid, then knead and prove (rise) your dough only once. For best results use with one of the Allinson range of quality bread flours. If using an automatic bread maker, use the yeast directly from the packet and add with other ingredients in the order specified by the manufacturer. Hints & Tips: Ideal for use in all automatic bread makers. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions. Try the sweet programme on your bread maker if you prefer a softer crust on your standard loaf. Before you begin your recipe plan where to leave your dough to prove (or rise) It needs even heat rather than intense direct heat. Measure everything accurately. Always pre mix the salt and sugar with the flour before adding yeast. Bread dough will rise in a refrigerator overnight and this slow, cool rise produces a good, well shaped loaf. To refresh a stale loaf- wrap in foil, put in the oven 230C/450F/Gas Mark 8 for 10 minutes and cool in the foil. Easy Bake Bread Recipe For Hand Baking Ingredients: 650g (1lb 7oz) Allinson Strong White Bread Flour 10g (2 tsp) Salt 5g (1 tsp) Sugar 15g (1/2oz) Soft butter or 15ml (1tbsp) Vegetable oil 7g sachet of Allinson Easy Bake Yeast 400ml (14fl oz) Warm water (1 part boiling, 2 parts cold) Easy Bake Yeast Method: 1. Knead for 10 minutes on a floured surface or until dough is smooth and elastic. 3. Shape as desired and place into loaf tins or onto warm greased baking sheets. 4. Preheat oven to 230°C/450°F/Gas Mark 8. 5. Cover dough with cling film or a damp tea towel and leave to rise in a warm place for around 45 minutes or until double in size. 6.
