Prepare and Use
SERVING EXCELLENCE. 1. Start with Tetley, the Nations Favourite Tea. 2. Only use fresh water, once water has boiled it loses 40% of its oxygen content. Make sure the water’s boiling (at least 95°C) as this helps the tea infuse quickly, letting out maximum flavour. 3. Warming the pot helps maintain the optimum temperature for tea infusion, although can be served in a cup or a mug. 4. Drinking tea out of home is an experience, so it’s important presentation is excellent. Make sure that the Tetley brand is on display. Research suggests that a third of consumers would only drink tea when out of the home if they were served a well known brand (U&A 05). 5. Everyone likes their tea differently. Make sure you ask how strong your customer would like their tea, strength is determined by how long the tea bag is left in or amount of milk added (if at all). Make sure you have a full selection of milk, including full fat, semi skimmed, and skimmed, and don’t forget to smile!
